epic5 software package provides epic irc client, version 5, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install epic5
epic5 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the epic5 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep epic5 *
You will get with epic5 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
